Wind that does not gust
A lot of “wind” on sound sites is either a storm door or a muffled rumble with the hiss removed. Real wind carries moving air. This loop is a constant medium wind (CC0, Freesound, jackstraton), picked from four finalists because it does not gust — highest crest factor of the set, which here means the loud parts do not jump. No birds. Forest is the one with birds.
Wind is the empty outdoor texture. Use it when cafe has too much speech and rain has too much weather. It sits under typing well. If you wanted thunder, that is storm, not a louder wind. If you wanted leaves, that is forest.
Play it here or from the room panel. Two copies at once will phasing-beat; pick one. Licence is CC0, so this page does not need a compulsory credit, but the recordist is named because the file did not appear from nowhere.
