1. The service

StudyBuddy is a real-time multiplayer study-room web application. It lets people create or join rooms, run synchronized study timers, chat, manage shared tasks, and view study statistics when signed in. The service is independently operated and is not currently operated by a registered company.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You may use StudyBuddy only if you can lawfully agree to these terms and are old enough under the law that applies to you. The service is not directed to children who require a parent or guardian's consent. Keep account credentials and recovery access secure, and provide accurate information when creating an account.

Guests are first-class users. No account is required to create or join a room, use the timer, chat, or shared tasks. Guest access is subject to the same room rules, safety controls, rate limits, and moderation as account access.

3. Acceptable use

You must use the service lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

• harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, discriminate against, or target another person;
• send spam, scams, malware, illegal material, or unsolicited commercial content;
• use bots, scripts, scraping, automation, or bulk requests to abuse, enumerate, or overload the service;
• probe, bypass, or weaken authentication, rate limits, moderation, room capacity, or other security controls;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or secrets of the service, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• launch or assist a denial-of-service attack, interfere with Firebase/Vercel/Cloudinary/other providers, or disrupt another user's room; or
• use the service to violate privacy, intellectual-property, export, sanctions, or other applicable laws.

4. User content and room content

You keep ownership of content you submit, including chat messages, task text, room names, profile information, and images. You grant StudyBuddy a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.

Room content can be visible to other room members and may be copied by them. You are responsible for what you publish. StudyBuddy may hide, delete, or restrict content that violates these terms, creates a safety or legal risk, or is reported through the service. Automated moderation is limited; reports may be reviewed by the operator.

5. Moderation, suspension, and termination

We may limit a room, remove content, suspend or terminate an account, or block access where necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms. We may also close inactive rooms through automatic cleanup. We may act without advance notice where delay would create risk. You may stop using the service at any time and may delete a signed-in account through Profile where that feature is available.

6. Pro status and payments

Pro is currently closed and PRO_ENABLED is false. StudyBuddy currently has no paid plan, paid entitlement, checkout, or payment/refund program. Do not treat a waitlist entry, interface label, or future feature reference as a purchase or promise of access.

7. Availability and changes

StudyBuddy is provided as an evolving service. Features, room limits, providers, integrations, or availability may change, be paused, or stop at any time. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every threat, or available for any particular period.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. StudyBuddy is a productivity tool, not a medical, educational, legal, employment, or emergency service. Timer, statistics, ranking, message, and task data may be delayed, lost, inaccurate, or removed during maintenance, outages, cleanup, or moderation.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or loss-of-data damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intentional misconduct or mandatory consumer rights.

10. Contact and governing law

Contact partner.studybuddy@gmail.com for questions or reports. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections or jurisdictional rights that apply to you.

11. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be published on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use after that date means the updated terms apply. If a change is not acceptable, stop using the service.

1. Hizmet ve uygunluk

StudyBuddy; gerçek zamanlı çok oyunculu çalışma odaları, senkron sayaç, sohbet, ortak görevler ve giriş yapan kullanıcılar için istatistikler sunan bir web uygulamasıdır. Hizmeti kullanabilmek için bu koşulları hukuken kabul edebilecek yaşta olmanız gerekir. Veli izni gerektiren çocuklara yönelik değildir.

Misafirler birinci sınıf kullanıcıdır: hesap açmadan oda oluşturabilir veya odaya katılabilir, sayaç, sohbet ve görevleri kullanabilir. Misafirler de hesaplı kullanıcılarla aynı güvenlik, hız sınırı ve moderasyon kurallarına tabidir.

2. Kullanım kuralları ve içerik

Taciz, tehdit, takip, kimliğe bürünme, ayrımcılık, spam, dolandırıcılık, kötü amaçlı yazılım, yasa dışı içerik, izinsiz ticari iletişim, bot/script/otomasyon, toplu istek, scraping, güvenlik kontrollerini aşma, tersine mühendislik ve hizmeti yavaşlatan veya durduran DoS girişimleri yasaktır. Kullanıcı, sohbet mesajları, görev metinleri, oda adları, profil bilgileri ve görselleri paylaşma hakkına sahip olmalıdır. Kullanıcı içeriği; hizmetin sunulması, güvenliği ve moderasyonu için gerekli ölçüde işlenebilir; ihlal teşkil eden içerik gizlenebilir veya silinebilir.

3. Askıya alma, sonlandırma ve değişiklikler

Güvenlik, yasal yükümlülük, kötüye kullanım incelemesi veya bu koşulların uygulanması için oda ya da hesap erişimi kısıtlanabilir, içerik kaldırılabilir ve hesap askıya alınabilir/sonlandırılabilir. Hizmet, özellikler veya sağlayıcılar değiştirilebilir, duraklatılabilir veya tamamen sona erdirilebilir. Pro şu anda kapalıdır; PRO_ENABLED false durumundadır ve ücretli plan, ödeme veya iade programı bulunmamaktadır.

4. Sorumluluk, hukuk ve iletişim

Hizmet, kanunun izin verdiği ölçüde “olduğu gibi” ve “mevcut olduğu şekilde” sunulur; kesintisiz, hatasız veya tüm tehditlere karşı güvenli olacağı garanti edilmez. Kanunen sınırlandırılamayan sorumluluklar ve zorunlu tüketici hakları saklıdır. Bu koşullar Türkiye Cumhuriyeti hukukuna tabidir. partner.studybuddy@gmail.com adresinden iletişime geçebilirsiniz.

5. Değişiklik tarihi
